YOUTH LEADERSHIP
THE CAMPBELL FARM trains young adults in developing leadership skills to address some of the challenges of growing up. The program focuses on leadership skills as a force for affecting our community in positive ways. The young adults first interact as role models and counselors for the children at the farm during the year, and assist in the feeding program at various locations. One of the most intensive weeks for the leadership group at the farm is “mission week,” in which the young leaders volunteer at homeless shelters, food banks, Union Gospel Mission, local elder’s homes and other areas in the community. They are taught how to respectfully interact with each other, the children, other volunteers and the broader community. Many challenging socioeconomic issues in our community are addressed through the services that the program provides. TCF strives to provide the most comprehensive and cohesive support with our limited resources.
