THE CAMPBELL FARM runs a youth program during the summer months, supporting our young people to learn about sustainability and farming. The children are organized into defined age groups and provided with age appropriate crafts and games as they learn to recycle, work in the garden, plant seeds, weed and harvest foods. Some of the children also participate in canning and freezing the harvested foods and helping to care for many animals by feeding and watering them. Youth groups from across the county visit TCF during the summer camp, and the enrolled children have the opportunity to welcome and host our visitors. The program provides positive social interaction to youth who do not reliably have such opportunities to visit with people from other places. As with all of our programs, the children are provided breakfast and lunch.
